This incident caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
