19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in specific - led to him falling of the top ten and ultimately separating with former mentor Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's first trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my child her name, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his last six championship matches, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His defensive strategy and frequent outbursts on court had caused observers to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and play aggressively, supported by an improved serving game.
He came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, taking four of the last five games to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional championship, gained dominance to create a final set.
He defended four early opportunities in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
